The manufacture of foundry cores involves various techniques, each with its own particularities in terms of polluting emissions. Whether we are talking about the Shell Moulding method or the Cold Box process, each generates specific substances that require treatment.
To effectively manage these emissions, we have developed solutions tailored to each type of equipment. In the case of open cars, we use specially designed suction hoods and walls. For closed equipment, we have created a vacuum system with profiled connections that ensure optimal pollutant capture.
The heart of the purification system is a single-stage „venturi” purge. This innovative technology combines the „venture” principle for retaining particles with a treatment column for neutralizing acid or basic substances. The neutralization process is finely regulated by an automatic reagent dosing system, controlled by an advanced electronic unit.
The efficiency of this process depends on the contact time and the optimal application speed, parameters that we have optimized through extensive research. To maintain system performance, the washing solution is continuously refreshed, and when it reaches saturation, it is discharged to specialized treatment plants.
Depending on the nature of the pollutants and reagents used, we build these purifiers (scrubbers) from either high-quality stainless steel (AISI 304/316) or from advanced plastics. This design flexibility allows us to provide customized solutions for each customer, ensuring both process efficiency and equipment durability.
