The reuse of foundry slags involves treating them at extremely high temperatures in a special furnace, followed by additional processing steps, such as fluidizing in air beds.
Oven suction system It must deal with gases with temperatures up to 500°C, which are subsequently cooled by various methods, including the use of ambient air or heat exchangers. The other components of the plant operate at a more moderate temperature, around 150°C.
To effectively eliminate pollutants, the gas flow first passes through a cyclone or flux reversal chamber, where the larger particles are separated. Subsequently, a high-performance filter with Teflon-coated aramid material ensures final purification, compliant with the emission standards in force.
To prevent accidental overheating of the system, we implemented an automatic temperature control mechanism. In exceptional situations, with the approval of the authorities, a bypass system can be activated to protect the filters.
The whole process is supported by a centrifugal fan with its own cooling system, which maintains the necessary negative pressure in the plant. Finally, the purified air is released into the atmosphere through a chimney equipped with sampling points for monitoring the quality of emissions.
