General description of the machine for opening cleaning bags

The Household Bag Opener is a machine specially designed to open and empty bags of all sizes, i.e. waste bags that reach both urban waste treatment plants and plastic container stations for selection and classification. The main features of this bag opener are simplicity, efficiency, minimization of consumption and low maintenance costs. The machine is able to open even the smallest bags without being „aggressive” with the material.

Principle of operation

The material falls on a rotor incorporating helical-positioned interchangeable knives. The rotation of the shaft is slow (with the possibility of adjustment from 4 to 10 r.p.m) and leads the material to the static knives installed on a gate. This static knives gate can be easily adjusted by a hydraulic maintenance package. The distance between the interchangeable knives and the gate with static knives is adjustable in 5 positions (from 0 to 200 mm) to adapt to the different types of waste to be treated. The interchangeable rotor knives and static knives are made with an extremely wear-resistant layer. The interchangeable knives are positioned on the shaft in such a way that rotating the rotor at low speed opens all the bags. After opening, the material falls at the base of the machine on top of a belt conveyor that transports the material to the next treatment.
